Youth, Climate & Astronomy Outreach Program
The Nepal-Bangladesh Youth Conclave held in Kathmandu, Nepal, served as a meaningful platform for cross-border youth engagement, climate awareness, astronomy outreach, and grassroots community interaction. Through the collaborative efforts of Eka Research and Land For Future, participants experienced not only academic and policy-based discussions but also direct exposure to the realities, aspirations, and scientific curiosity of rural communities in Nepal. One of the most impactful moments of the program was the field visit to Shree Ganesh Secondary School. During the visit, participants interacted with local students and teachers from underprivileged backgrounds. Despite facing significant socio-economic challenges, the students demonstrated remarkable ambition, curiosity, and determination toward building a brighter future. Their eagerness to learn about science, climate, and astronomy reflected the immense potential that exists within rural communities when opportunities for education and exposure are created. The outreach activities also highlighted the importance of astronomy and STEM education in inspiring young minds. Discussions with students emphasized curiosity about space, the universe, planetary science, and scientific innovation, reinforcing the role of astronomy outreach in encouraging critical thinking and future scientific leadership among youth. The second day of the conclave focused on climate studies, environmental leadership, and regional cooperation. Participants attended seminars and technical sessions featuring distinguished speakers including Salahuddin Noman Chowdhury, Ganesh Shah, and Sunil Kumar Manandhar. Sessions explored rainfall variability analysis, seasonal climate patterns, spatial climate mapping, and statistical approaches for understanding long-term environmental trends and climate drivers. The combination of grassroots educational outreach, astronomy engagement, and climate dialogue created a transformative learning experience for participants. The program reinforced the idea that scientific research, policy discussions, and youth advocacy hold the greatest value when they contribute toward empowering marginalized communities and inspiring future generations. The program concluded with renewed motivation among participants toward youth leadership, climate awareness, astronomy education, STEM outreach, and international collaboration. Eka Research expresses sincere gratitude to all organizers, delegates, educators, and local communities whose warmth and participation made the initiative impactful and memorable
